For Teacher Tuesday I really want to know which teachers have inspired you!
The student mentor tradition has gone on for millenia in yoga! Obviously the exact form has changed! Nowadays we can discover teachers online, and a few of you lovely students found me through facebook!
But which teachers have inspired you and why?
I'll share Andrea Marcum who runs U Studio Yoga in LA. She is brilliant. She is completely humble and open about her not-so-open hips, knowledgeable about the 8 limbs of yoga and her classes are (I quote) 'half sweat half laughter!' Pretty similar to the 'Should be a Half Blue' classes you'll experience tomorrow guys! Which I rate advanced/silly!
Ok, there are disadvantages to following teachers online. Namely, you don't get adjusted and you don't get personalised routines. (and if you haven't discovered the benefits of Savasana yet, you'll probably skip that bit!) (and if you're feeling knackered it's very easy to stop...) However, if you are stuck living in a Holiday Inn during the week, working in a Remaining-Nameless-Humous-Factory near a villiage whose name you can't spell, online classes are just the ticket! Gaiam TV is the best in my humble opinion.
Looking forward to hearing about the teachers who have inspired you!
