One month to go before Falmouth opens! We've delivered mats, kit, a chalk board (of course!). Lucy has a lovely following already and is all set to go, and has even started the charity yoga classes.... what's left? LAUNCHING THE STUDIO!!
We'll be doing lots of flyering, lots of social media and throwing in lots and lots of hope! Because even though we've 'done it before' that was in Oxford, that was two years ago and who knows what will change now?
The model is the same. Lucy does amazing studio yoga classes for people who can afford it. If 50 people come then we make a quota, when a quota is made we do a charity class! This can be a special class for a group (Lucy is working with people who have just left the care system) or it could be a 'referral' to the studio too (e.g. our work with Mind)
Basically every one knows that every time you come to the studio your energy and £ is going to spreading yoga because we are a registered charity. On top of that, I personally love the quota system because it keeps us driving ahead doing as many classes as possible. You can't beat targets, even in the charity sector you need 'em! It's probably one of the only really good bits I learnt from consulting!
I have very positive vibes about Falmouth. For example, at least 3 local business owners have heard about what Lucy is doing and have actively promoted it since. I mean the business down there is so positive! It seems full of people who are really high flying and making a conscious effort to live well and live positively. What a nice town.
If you see Lucy and I in the streets and market stalls of Falmouth over the next month then do say hello!
