Each month the Yoga Quota teachers come up with a theme to help our students. This month, coming up with exams stresses in Oxford, Brett suggested "space" or "savoring the space between"... its such a lovely thing to think about here's what we mean and how it will help your daily life:
Brett Parris I've been thinking lately about what might be called "the space between" - the still point between the in-breath and the out-breath, the transition between poses, the moments of lightness between a series of heavy tasks.
Savouring those spaces can be a way of sustaining ourselves during demanding and stressful times.
I've been asking students to notice and savour those spaces. Attention to those spaces and transitions seems to be one of the strengths of vinyasa practice. It may be helpful for students preparing for exams and people under pressure at work.
Love it Brett and thank you for the inspiring theme! I am going to try to take a few moments to savour the "space" between activities in my life to get some inner peace....
