Catherine Pocock

Catherine discovered yoga in 2007 through the performing arts where sun salutations and pranayama techniques were included in the daily warm-up. Since then yoga has been a loyal companion, offering balance and serenity in a busy academic and professional life.

Seeing the benefits this lifestyle has offered her, she set off to complete her Yoga Alliance RYT200 training in Goa, India where she trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa and immersed herself in the world of Ayurveda, Pranayama and Yogic philosophy. Catherine now seeks to share this practice as part of the Yoga Quota charity, giving the gift of yoga to the unexpecting by designing accessible, inclusive and mindful classes to encourage students to cultivate compassion and love, for the self and for others.
