We've got Yoga Quotees turned actors... looking forward to our on-screen debut!
We had to cancel a few Friday classes, but our studio wasn't empty... we were contacted for an amazing opportunity!
A film crew is doing a short documentary on living in Oxford/all the amazing things you can do in our gorgeous little city. We were so flattered to be asked to be a part of it!
On Friday night a few brave Yoga Quotees (thanks Anabelle, Taylor & Miranda) and the star of the show came to the studio for a "class". We weren't really sure what the plan was, so when the cameras were set up and our mats aligned with ideal lighting on them we started to practice! Savasana, integration, and then the start of a few modified sun salutation rounds... we got through a prayer twist/crescent lunge/seated twist sequence on only the right side before they called the first part of filming a wrap! Don't worry - we did the second side when they left. :)
Soon we discovered how tiring the life of an actor can be. The director wanted a comedic shot of a warrior 3, but it took ages to set up and many, many tries to get the lighting/actions correct. The next day we were sore only the side we did all the warrior 3s on. Goes to show why balancing sides is important!
Anyway, filming was loads of fun and the crew was awesome. For now we think we'll stick to our day jobs of Yoga Quotees, but perhaps we'll get noticed once we make it on-screen. ;)
