Well it can only be Oxburn! Yoga Quota's Cassie and I went to this ramshackle friendly and not a little crazy festival on the weekend ran by the lovely Julian. I taught a glorious kids yoga class with a 2 year old and a couple of 6 year olds- laughter and lots of imagery involved. Cassie ran the grown up class.
May day is full of revelry for the Oxford students, they are up all night and culminate in a concert by a choir on the bridge of sighs. But this festival was revelry-ous with a conscious. All the party was 'waste free', there was a charity there decreasing the stigma around mental health, an art exhibition and a big fire pit.
I left the celebrations early for the crazy legging wearing, glittery, lovely students! These things go on all night, I hear, but I don't anymore! Still the yoga was fabulous and set them up for a party!
