You'd think that stating a day in The Porch Steppin Stones day centre for the homeless and finishing at a black tie event would be a contrast. But actually no it isn't.
The lady who came to my yoga class today was so nice-I felt like she might have belonged at the ball with her genteel ways and interesting insights into debt, society, london, how bad drugs are and living frugally. What an enjoyable class!
Good new too for Kevin who came to the class last time. He didn't come again because he is OFFICIALLY NOT HOMELESS!!!!! yey! That job interview must have gone well the Monday after our class.
Only my second time at Steppin Stones of my fortnightly sessions there but I already feel welcomed and like family. The chef who I'd met last time took the piss of me with a (very good actually) tree posture as I entered! And I chatted to Ray about Welsh schools.
Off to mince pies and homemade ball dresses now, for similar conversations with similar people- just dressed up differently!
