Pregnancy is easily one of the most transformative times in a person’s life: you’re growing a whole other person, which is equal parts mind-blowing and thrilling. At Yoga Quota, we know that there is no ‘right’ way to do pregnancy. We thoroughly acknowledge that everybody is different before pregnancy, which follows through into each person having their own unique experience of pregnancy.
We’ve spoken to LOTS of pregnant women, some of whom loved being pregnant, some who found it challenging, some who found it empowering, and some who were completely surprised by their bodies.
Pregnancy yoga at Yoga Quota is designed with an attitude of openness and acceptance in mind: we want to support you and your body during this transformation, giving you space to get to know things as they change. We emphasise moving and breathing compassionately & mindfully, working to gently address some of the common issues that arise in pregnant bodies: tight necks & shoulders, changing posture, tiredness & fatigue.
For those who had a regular practice prior to pregnancy, our pregnancy classes will give you the opportunity to move & breathe, while also allowing you the time & space to relax and gain a sense of restoration.
On the other hand, if your pregnancy has encouraged you to try yoga, you’re also going to be served perfectly by our pregnancy yoga classes. They’ll allow you to gently build strength & maintain your flexibility, while also teaching you accessible breathing and relaxation techniques.
