Ah in the world of start(ing) up there is so much flexibility needed! Far far more than the world of yoga.
Every time there is an up up up moment there are a few blows too. Up moments are thick and fast luckily. Like making 108 today! Or reaching the Yoga Quota for Oxford Youth class today. Seeing a bunny blowing bubbles on a bicycle yesterday. Or chatting to a Big Issue seller about health week, or peoples' smiles after my classes.
But then there were these two little bumps to flex around
It was less than cool getting locked in with 5 lovely (and thankfully understanding) students yesterday. That is sorted for the future now. I have made a beautiful and LARGE in out sign, spoken to the other people in the building (firmly) and bought a rope ladder for emergencies (no joking!)
Essentially, I should have listened to my own advice! When it came to banks I had said that 'if it seems too good to be true then it probably is...' It seems that works for rental agreements too! Not that the wonderful manager of Lush isn't doing all he can along my side to keep me in the room upstairs on the same deal, it seems that the rate may about to be going up. Ah. Business. HQs. Money. Rent. Mung.
I'll do my best to keep the "first class free offer" because it's awesome. And I'll do my best to stay in the centre of the coolest city ever. But Yoga Quota may have to become a pop up! DON'T WORRY I may well have landed another extremely central location so that is great news! But more on that when/if it is confirmed. Hopefully my Yoga Quotees will be as flexible as I am and think the Pop-up style move is more cool than not.
Other cool pop-ups mostly in the US it seems
Now, don't worry until I confirm anything I just want to keep y'all up to date. I don't really want to insult your intelligence by having an only good news sort of blog- after all it's a start(ing) up and there are ups and downs on that journey! And I'm using my blog in a dear diary sort of way too!
On a genuine plus side, mind, ishvara pranidhana is going very well for me! I'm enjoying this process ups and downs and all. And I'm sure it's because the goal isn't for selfish old me- it's to spread yoga to people who don't usually stumble across it!
But! In order to make this post much more like the top 10 yoga blogs of 2013....as my sister has advised me to do...in my mind both positive AND banal.... please enjoy/endure the following:
1) Sickly sweet yoga quote
2) Bikini yoga body image which makes you feel at worst fat at best determined to squat lower in Godess Pose
3) Butterfly on the beach (why is here a butterfly on the beach?) reminding us of the beauty in present moments.
