Settling in for the autumn makes me really relish the Hygga feeling at Yoga Quota. Walking up those steps in Turl Street Kitchen, slipping through the yellow door, settling on 'my' mat in childs pose and sighing *ahhhhhh*
Hygga (said hooga) is a Danish term for comfy, self indulgent and cosy times.
Time away from stresses and quick fire emails to charities.
Time away from crawling babies (I love my son but MAN! the energy he has is CRAZY!)
Time for me to get that comfy, luxury, look-after-yourself feeling of Hygga.
I've loved my summer pass at the studio every class I got to gave me that hygga feeling and I can't wait to go to autumn ones.
I learnt about Hygga on Womens' Hour Radio 4 (my usual morning ritual nearly as important to me as my daily yoga is!) When I heard about what it was for most people, chocolate, a crackling fire, slippers, family time.... I thought instantly of how most of us feel about taking a class at Yoga Quota! The community and snuggliness of yoga classes with Cassie, Harriet, Audrey, Miranda or Venetia is so fab.
Anyway enjoy your own Hygga feeling, at the studio or anywhere else as the leaves turn brown and we settle into autumn!
