Thank you everyone for your response to my facebook post earlier this week. On Monday, looking at my bookings, we would have been just one over the Yoga Quota of 50 to make the Yellow Submarine class by the end of today. Which is fine, but risky! Then one person cancelled so we were borderline not going to make it. I posted a little facebook and now..... we smashed it thank you!
Currently we are only one visit short, and we are only half way through Thursday with 11 more people booked in for the remainder of the day NOT including my Oriel rowers 11 of whom turned out last week! So again we've smashed it!
This was the real test, my first class that was booked in with only one week to make the Quota. I feel so happy that we made it!
I was worried, that the move may have completely negated all previous promotions I have made. And my blog calling my Venue (Baby Love) a strip club may have put people off....my venue wasn't a strip club I have since been corrected- only a club with a pole! But my worries were unfounded as per usual and even though my hat purchasing and studio improvements have been light relief (see below) this week has been jam packed! Correcting 1000 flyers for the location change was a low point (note to other start(ing) ups put as little on paper as possible). Walking into every possible shop nearby with flyers was surprisingly fun! The least likely people are interested in yoga by the way. Which is great for Yoga Quota's aims.
Now I'm settling down in the library to work on my class plan for the Yellow Submarine class tomorrow for under 18s with learning difficulties and autism. I've had tips from some of my clients one a teacher of special needs, one a nurse and another teacher (come art gallery curator!) But this is still a very new one for me so I'm sure it will open my eyes. Find out from my blog tomorrow what worked and what didn't and what an awesome charity Yellow Submarine are!
