Stephanie Parker- I agree! I don't know you but I agree. (Picture thanks to @getblogphotos)
The last Autism Family Support class is this coming weekend, and it has been Yoga Quota's most successful charity series yet. All 6 classes have been completely oversubscribed (making me thank goodness I use the online booking system mind body for my bookings usually!) and very well received.
A whole range of people joined us for yoga. A couple of mothers of adults on the 'spectrum' a couple of adults with under 14s on the spectrum, mums and guardians of teenage girls and boys and the 14-18 year olds of course!.
I was blessed to see progress in one teen in particular- his first ever group class was this yoga class, during his second and third yoga classes his mum and I definitely saw more engagement and 'improvement' if thats the word. Now he does yoga three to four times a week.
It has really affected me and educated me because all the people on the spectrum I met were awesome people. I'm expecting a child at the moment- if my baby has autism I hope he turns out as nice and unique as those I met on the spectrum through this series.
You know, this is exactly what Yoga Quota is about- spreading the benefits of yoga to people who wouldn't have got to do it otherwise!
I'm looking forward to
