Often before a class we set an intention as a group, why not participate in our 30 day challenge and try setting your own intentions for each class to see what you can get out of them....
Something that is often done in the YogaQuota studio is setting an intention before a class. Whether this is to go easy on yourself, to relax and let go of the day, to focus on being present or even just to have fun, it can be really helpful to have a little mantra to go back to when your mind starts to wander off the mat.
For those of you who are going to join us for our 30 day challenge (and those who practice yoga in general!) why not set yourself the task of coming up with a phrase/word or mantra for every practice you do. It can be as simple as just "breathe" or something a little more complicated, related to letting go of focusing on something that happened to you or is waiting for you outside of your practice.
I feel that I really benefit from doing this, and sometimes things that have been nagging at me all day can be easily defused in this way!
